CHOICE

The Blue Water State Sharks have won Summer Bowl I. The bitter rivalry came to an end Saturday evening with the Sharks winning the third matchup against the Tomahawks 26-6. Both teams were at full strength on Saturday and tensions ran high. The Sharks took a 14-0 lead within the first 5 minutes of the game and never looked back. The Tomahawks struggled on offense and failed to get any consistent momentum going, only scoring one touchdown in four quarters. In the end there could only be one winner and the Sharks prevailed. This was the Sanford Tomahawks inaugural season and their first time playing for a championship, that alone is considered a win. They will be back more experienced and stronger for next season. This marks the Sharks second time in 5 seasons they appeared in a championship game (2020 EXFL Xtreme Bowl) & (2022 S8FL Summer Bowl). The Sharks lost their first championship 56-6 to the Barracudas, but made up for that loss this weekend, winning their second attempt at glory 26-6 against the Tomahawks. The Sharks can now call themselves champions as they take home the first ever Summer Bowl trophy.

The stage is set, and the Blue Water State Sharks will face off against the Sanford Tomahawks for the first ever Summer Bowl.
